Amtrak Depot & Rail Service

Amtrak Station, Princeton ILPrinceton is one of only a few rural communities that still offer Amtrak rail service. The Princeton Depot is located at 101 Bicentennial Drive. Four Eastbound and four Westbound trains each day transport passengers to Chicago or all points West to California. The Depot is open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. daily. A live Station Agent is on site during the arrival of each train.

No tickets are sold at the Depot. Tickets are available at www.Amtrak.com, or 1-800-USA-RAIL, or from your favorite travel agency.

Free parking is plentiful!

Service Areas

Maintained by the City of Princeton, the Princeton Amtrak Depot offers both regional and national daily rail service:

  • Regional service to many regional communities including Chicago, Naperville, Galesburg, Macomb, and Quincy
  • National rail service to Los Angeles, Sacramento, Omaha, Albuquerque, Salt Lake City, Denver, Flagstaff, and more

The depot also offers free overnight parking and free wireless internet access.

  • Lobby open from 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.; 7 days a week
  • Staff available 30 minutes before and after each train arrival / departure
