A Message from the Chief
As the Chief of Police for the Princeton Police Department, I would like to take the opportunity to welcome you to our web site and provide you with a brief introduction to our department.
The Princeton Police Department is a progressive, community-oriented agency, serving a community of approximately 7,800 residents. The Department consists of 17 sworn officers, Police Office Manager, Animal Control Officer, four part-time employees, and six crossing guards who are committed to providing the highest quality of police service in a professional and courteous manner. We are committed to keeping our city safe by responding to the needs of the community and engaging in proactive enforcement, intervention and prevention strategies. This includes our involvement with our schools, businesses and community groups.
Our Department takes pride in the low crime rate in the City of Princeton, an attribute that continues to attract newcomers to our community. We do, however, recognize that maintaining a safe community is only possible because of a strong and valued relationship between our department and the citizens of Princeton. Our citizens recognize the importance of watching out for one another. Because of citizen cooperation and involvement, the Princeton Police Department is able to more effectively protect and serve the people who live, work and visit our fine community.
As you visit this web site, which will be continuously updated, it is my hope that you will become more educated about the Princeton Police Department. Thank you for your visit, and I hope you find the information to be of interest and of value. I also encourage your suggestions, as well as your concerns or comments and invite you to contact me at 872-2351.
