Subject: Public Service Announcement
The City of Princeton Water Department is providing the following public service announcement.
In the preparation for the semi-annual water main flushing, the City of Princeton Water Department has increased the chlorine level in the water. You may notice a strong odor of chlorine, which is a bleach like odor. If the odor is objectionable for drinking, you may keep a pitcher of water in the refrigerator for drinking, as the chlorine will dissipate from the water after a few minutes. We will be conducting the semi-annual city wide water main flushing between the hours of 7:00am and 4:00pm beginning Monday October 3, 2011 and continuing for approximately two weeks. Customers may experience a strong chlorine odor, cloudy or discolored water and brief periods of low water pressure. Please be cautious near open fire hydrants. If there are any questions, please call the Water Plant at 815-879-8066.
Sincerely,
Michael J. Eggers
